[Sorry, Vriska. Neither one of their particularly sunny dispositions is making this conversation very easy. It's hard, being a righteous and reactive guy in a place like the CDC. He cannot help but take it personally when bad things happen, and it doesn't always make him fun to be around.

[ Today has mostly been a good day for her. Noh-Varr is alive; there's little else she cares about. But that one of her best friends has come back hasn't actually done away with the guilt she still feels for having killed him in the first place. And Eren's shortness strikes that nerve and hard. She doesn't want to face it. So she won't. ]
