❚❚❚❚❚ BASICS.

■ NAME & ID CODE: Eren Jaeger | NHD-A10-JGR-104
■ CANON: Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin. Post Female-Titan Arc. (Manga, specifically, despite my icons.)
■ AGE: 16, he's been here a while.
■ CURRENT TEAM & STATUS: Red Team. Active Duty | (Formerly Orange Team, Harpy Unit)
■ LANGUAGE: German dungeon gibberish. (Unknown Germanic fantasy language. We've been playing it like they might make out a bit of the normal earth variety, even if it'll sound like it's been put through a blender.)
■ INVENTORY:this is so outdated.
❚❚❚❚❚ IC.
■ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: go for it. reactions will vary wildly depending on the situation.

■ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: in general, feel free, it happens to him all the time. he heals quickly, so I only ask you check in with me if you plan on doing anything bad enough to be life-threatening. anything less, go nuts. but he's a fighter by nature and a trained soldier, so don't expect him to take it lying down.
Would your character die for another character currently in the game? yes. he's hella determined to survive and very much aware of how many people have died so he can live/how important he is to humanity's plan of counterattack back home. that said...he's known as a suicidal bastard for a reason. He's effectively done this already in canon (he only lived through it by discovering his deus ex machina superpowers) and he probably would do it again in the right circumstances
Would your character kill for another character currently in the game? yes. without restraint if he really honestly thinks they have it coming. if he doesn't think they deserve it it will require way more forcing his hand.
Is your character comfortable with and/or willing to mutilate a dead recruit’s body? willing, if not comfortable, if there was a reason.

■ RELATIONSHIPS: incredibly unlikely, but...not...impossible (???) I guess. It would take a lot of doing, and it probably wouldn't go very smoothly. He's a teenaged boy, not above a dumb crush but way too focused on other things to even put much thought into it. It's about the last of his priorities. (WHY WOULD YOU EVEN WANT TO ANYWAY...)

■ MENTAL INFORMATION: He's holding onto a whole lot of very violent trauma. He watched his mother get eaten alive in front of him and saw his hometown fall to an invasion of monsters, and there are some immense levels of rage and feelings of resentment and vengeance related to this, and to the titans in general. He's a little off kilter, he tips to violence and extremes a little too easily. Has odd dreams, ranging from violent nightmares to what seems a lot like someone else's memories. He also turns into a giant rage monster on occasion, gets maimed on a semi-regular basis, and was once eaten alive. So there's that.

He's currently only recovered bits and pieces of the memory of the last time he saw his father. Trying too hard to recover those memories can and will lead to headaches and blackouts. (HIGHLIGHT for very recent SnK spoilers. which is just as well, because remembering what happened will mean remembering his father forcibly injecting him with something that turned him into a titan so Eren could...eat him...and presumably inherit his shifting power. Yeah.)

■ MEDICAL INFORMATION: healthy and hard to kill. runs a little hot. regenerates damage quickly, up to and including lost limbs and teeth.
Are they vertebrate? Yes.
Is “breathing” necessary for their survival? Yes.
Do they feel hunger? Yes.
How many fingers and eyes? Ten fingers, two eyes. Most of which aren't even the ones he was born with at this point. They grow back if he loses them.

■ FAVORITE SENSORY INPUT: Sight, probably, spacial awareness is important for shingekis. Touch too, he's a physical person, and weaponizing his body is sort of an important skill for him.

■ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: AHAHa... He watched his hometown fall to an invasion of maneating monsters and watched his mother get eaten alive, and even years later flashing back to that day rattles him visibly, though he recovers pretty well and pretty quickly when we see that happen. More dramatically, trying to recover the memory of the last time he saw his father (during which he was given a bunch of cryptic BS and also restrained and forcibly injected with a syringe full of something that turned him into a titan so he would eat his father and presumably inherit his shifting and coordinate abilities) can and will cause headaches and blackouts. So while he doesn't particularly have an issue with simply being restrained, (not that he'll like it, but we've seen him cope fine with being chained up and imprisoned IT HAPPENS A LOT) digging too hard there or being placed in a very similar situation would probably still...not be great... Being powerless in general might even rank up there too/feed back into those.

On an upsetting but not debilitating note: he's reactive, he takes Bad Shit pretty personally, there are lots of things that would rattle him and make him super mad... He's a hero-type, he has a hard time keeping his cool if he's stuck watching (innocent...) people suffer or die, particularly if he's feeling helpless to do anything about it. He's generally very much not ok with kidnappings/abandoning people in danger. The titans are, of course, a Thing, and everything they stand for (oppression, being hunted as prey, living in captivity, etc) probably aren't quite "triggers" in the strict sense, but they are things that can hit him hard or set him off. He can tip over into a rage on behalf of others and he can go berserk or lose control after shifting, even to the point of turning on his allies. He's been getting better at managing it, but there's still plenty of potential for him to screw up. He knows he's lost control in his titan form before and tried to kill Mikasa, and that weighs on him. His fundamental humanity has been called into question there, but it's a thing he tries not to think too deeply on most of the time.
Have they told another recruit of these triggers? His more garden variety moral outrage is pretty easy to read off him in general, and he talks about titans plenty. About why they need to wipe them out. (survival, freedom, not getting eaten, etc.) he's already gotten worked up when his comrades died in front of him/came close to it. (See: lockdown, sector R.) After the lockdown someone approached him/his comrades about his not-entirely-excellent control of his titan form when he's mad. He's spoken briefly and vaguely about his mother to Ed shortly after Anja's destruction, (and it visibly rattled him/flashed him back to the moment of her death,) but he's been quiet on his fuzzy memory of his dad's shady-ass disappearance and pseudo-torture superpower-giving weirdness.
Under what circumstances will they reveal these triggers? He wouldn't really feel the need to hide what he remembers of what happened with his father, but he's not going to spill his guts unless it seems relevant. That said, even just talking/thinking too hard about his dad's disappearance tends to trigger headaches and blackouts and whatnot, so once it's a topic at all it'll probably be pretty easy to tell it gets to him. Picking too hard there could trigger a proper flashback one day who knows.

Also probably seeing people suffer/sacrifice themselves for him/get eaten in general??? I don't know, he's pretty easy to upset tbh, what a sensitive baby.

■ REBELLIOUS TENDENCIES: Definitely predisposed, yeah. He values life and freedom immensely, it's in his nature to fight back against an overwhelming force. He objects to what they're doing a lot, he hates that they're holding humanity hostage against him to force his hand, and he's dead sure they can't keep it up forever. (He's also run his mouth to people about this a few times, it's hardly a secret. Eren...) That said, he isn't entirely stupid, and he is a soldier. He's been gritting his teeth and behaving so far under the influence of his canon commanding officers, in the interests of the survival of the crew, and because he does put humanity first. He's even sort of grudgingly warming to a few of the instructors, if not to the CDC as an institution. Warriorhead has recently warned some caution into him, and he's doing his best to figure out what to do with that. But bucking against the CDC is still something he wants to do on reflex, if given the chance/if things get bad enough, disobeying/rebelling is a definite possibility.

■ ADDITIONAL PERMISSIONS:Attack on Titan is a currently running manga with an anime adaptation! Eren's from a pretty early canonpoint, so if you've seen the anime you're golden, and I don't plan on bringing up manga spoilers casually. But if you'd like me to watch out for them when tagging you (or just not tag you at all) just hit me up at the spoiler opt-out I've got over here.

■ BACKTAGGING: please feel free! I like to backtag as much as I can but I can get overwhelmed and drop older threads when I have a lot going on, please feel free to hit me up if there's something you'd like to continue that I haven't hit in a while and I'll be sure to try and prioritize it/hash out what happens with you.
■ THREADHOPPING: go for it.
■ FOURTHWALLING: let's keep the walls unbroken, he's had enough of that for one lifetime. (I'll make dumb jokes in narration, but I think I'd rather avoid it as an IC topic for now.)
■ ACTION VS PROSE: I'm faster with action, but if you prefer prose I can match.
■ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: nah, nothing really.
■ YES/NO SCENARIOS: In the interests of keeping this short since the rest of this is way too wordy: pretty much anything you're willing to throw at me! I love playing a character I can casually maim and who'd go to great lengths for something, and I love writing new and terrible things from both dishing out/receiving perspectives. I'm pretty laid back oocly, my biggest hangup with writing anything is making it work on an IC level. So if it ends up being something I can't justify doing ICly then he'll refuse or fail and suffer IC consequences for it if needed, but I'm not adverse to much coming up on OOC principle.

■ ANYTHING ELSE? nah.
